Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-05-30.
1. What 32°N is
32°N is an open-source platform for sailing — software I (Mark Curphey) am building in public. The code is published under the MIT licence on GitHub. Anything you can run yourself from that repository, you can use without restriction subject to the MIT licence.
2. The hosted service at 32north.ai
The site at 32north.ai is a single-tenant development environment. Access is by invitation only. There is no commercial offering, no SLA, no warranty, and no expectation that the hosted service will be maintained, available, or correct at any particular time.
3. Account access
Sign-in is via Apple. By signing in you agree that your Apple Account email is recorded in the platform's auth system. Provisioning is at my discretion — uninvited accounts are denied access. You can request deletion of your account and any associated data at any time by emailing mark@32north.ai.
4. No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sailing software can be wrong. Do not rely on it for navigation, safety-of-life decisions, weather routing, or anything else where being wrong matters. Carry paper charts, follow standard COLREGs, and trust your eyes.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive — arising from your use of the hosted service or the software.
6. Changes
I may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after a change counts as acceptance.
