Auto-Docking
Assisted docking — the boat helps line up the berth, you approve every move.
Vision
Docking is the manoeuvre most sailors dread. The idea is assisted docking: GPS, cameras, and motion sensors fused into a precise picture of the boat's position relative to the berth, correcting course along the way — but never without a human approving the move.
Where it is now
This is a research-frontier idea, further out than the rest of this list, and explicitly not promised on any timeline. Nothing has been built yet.
